Becoming Good Terrestrial Tenants

"We have probed the Earth, excavated it, burned it, ripped things from it, buried things in it. ... That does not fit my definition of a good tenant. If we were here on a month-to-month basis, we would have been evicted long ago." ~ Rose Elizabeth Bird

This extraordinary quote comes from Aluna Joy's latest Center of the Sun newsletter, where she describes this time period (from the Solstice just past until the August 12th meteor shower) as a tremendous window of opportunity for quantum healing.

To actualize this possibility, Aluna is calling on each of us to manifest "GREAT COMPASSION . . . and GREAT FORGIVENESS . . . offered in a space of NON-JUDGEMENT without ego and from the HEART. The wrongs created in the past were done by those doing the best they could in an environment that did not reveal truth adequately. We are being called into action and to put to use the LIGHT, POWER and UNCONDITIONAL LOVE. It is time for us to come into fully realizing how magnificant we truly are."

Why now? "Within this window is the exact frequency or echo of time in history where massive misuses of power took place. ...Time is cyclic in nature and because we are circumnavigating through a time where a mis-use of power took place ... over and over again. It is time to break this cycle! Now we have the greatest opportunity to heal these past errors in present time. When we heal these past errors, we can end war and have peace on Earth. We can live in global harmony with all life and even experience universal unity. Our health will be restored. Abundance will not be an issue anymore. Ancient homesickness will vanish. Our dreams can be realized. Our suffering ends. We will never be lonely or feel lost again."

Karen Bishop's Solstice posting concurs: "These current energies are telling us that we cannot push certain things aside. They must be dealt with, will eventually have to be dealt with, and thus, we are being shown what is the closest to the surface so that we can make some changes.

"The solstice is creating a situation of colliding energies, as what is up now needs to be released. And this is the way it is with our spiritual evolutionary process. We at first collide, then integrate, and as always, move forward in a much better and more comfortable way. This 'gutting' phase we are currently experiencing will bring more up and out to be cleared away, in regard to ourselves and certainly our old systems and ways of being that were created in the old reality.

"Lower vibrating and denser energies are on their way out, and when we see them flying by, we can feel fairly uncomfortable as well! But they are greatly in the minority now, as we have made so much progress. This is why we feel so ugly when we encounter them, as we are vibrating so much higher now and the contrast is very extreme.

"Miracles will still be the mainstay, the more prevalent, as will much love and abundance, as we begin to realize that these minor and short lived purges are becoming less and less predominant. We are making great progress indeed…"

A Celebration of Our Collective Power

Solstice approaches: the stillpoint, with the sun at the apex of its power. Read my Solstice article, which offers a good explanation of the roots of this turning of the solar wheel.

Astrologer Allison Rae discusses the configurations for Solstice 2007, which, given the Divine Feminine focus of the year, fittingly celebrates Love with a capital 'L':

"Solstice Warm-Up - Venus trine Jupiter - June 19

One of the most joyful planetary configurations graces this year's Solstice activities, as the planet of love aspects uplifting, expansive Jupiter. This indulgent trine elicits feelings of hope and optimism, enhancing the joy of the Solstice alignment.

Love Fest - Summer Solstice - June 21 - 2:07 PM EDT; 6:07 PM GMT

A grand trine in fire signs turns up the heat on this Solstice alignment. Sparks fly with Mars in Aries, Saturn in Leo and Pluto in Sagittarius, aligned with the Galactic Center. Passion and creativity flow. June Solstice marks the Sun's entry into Cancer, so we're called to tend the home fire and get in touch with our feelings. With Venus opposing Chiron, emotional wounds surface for healing. Radiant divine love streams our way. Open. Become a vessel for this sacred, creative essence to infuse the Earth."

Solstice has also been recognized by many groups as World Peace and Prayer Day. There will be a global telegathering (virtual circle via telephone) on Saturday, June 23rd, at 8 pm USA EST. You'll find all the details here.

As You Thinketh...

With the New Moon in Gemini tonight, and Mercury poised to retrograde (appear to travel backward in the sky) tomorrow, the focus is on the power of our mind. Pluto, which will conjunct the Galactic Center again in July, is opposing this New Moon and aligning with the Sun four days from now, bringing our shadow side into the Light, so to speak. What do we need to see? What's the deeper, hidden truth of now?

Astrologer Stephanie Austin reminds us, "As the archetype of death and rebirth, Pluto’s yearlong conjunction with the Galactic Center, the heart of our Milky Way Galaxy, hastens the crossing of an evolutionary threshold — a dimensional shift from duality to unity, from the illusion of separation to the realization of our divinity and interrelationship with all Creation.

"Mercury, Gemini’s ruling planet, turns retrograde on June 15 at 12° Cancer, echoing Pluto’s directive to get out of our heads and into our hearts. In 2007, all three of Mercury's retrograde stations occur in water signs, doubling the mythic Messenger’s travel time through Pisces, Cancer, and Scorpio. These retrogrades offer opportunities to clear emotional blockages, enabling us to feel a greater connection with our higher self (Pisces), with our emotions (Cancer), and with others (Scorpio). When retrograde, Mercury invites us to spend more time in the upper and lower worlds, listening to our intuition and integrating what has been buried in the unconscious. Moving backward in Cancer, Mercury directs us to catch up with our inner child, heal old wounds, and eliminate what is unhealthy for us.

"Uranus, the higher octave of Mercury, is also approaching his yearly turn retrograde on June 23 at 19° Pisces. Watch for important revelations, stay extra grounded and flexible around that day. The Awakener’s retrograde phase in Pisces (until November 24) helps us to spot doorways and alternatives we might have missed earlier. Uranus in Pisces says: You have access to divine intelligence. Ask. Listen. Give thanks. Then act."

Paris In Springtime

Celia Fenn, who channels Archangel Michael, has a fascinating perspective on how our integration of the Goddess energies and clearing the ancient "witch hunt" fears that reside within human DNA is manifesting on the U.S. stage, in the form of Paris Hilton's fall from grace. Once again, it's our shadow coming to the forefront of consciousness to be healed.

Celia writes, "...the American public have seemingly reveled in her fall and misery. I used to teach American literature at college, and what came to mind was Arthur Miller's play The Crucible, where a young blonde woman is tried as a witch, but it becomes obvious that she is merely carrying the shadow sexual energies of her community and its guilts and judgments. Well, I think pretty much the same energy is emerging here, as these images convey the energy of the witchhunt.

"In Steve Rother's latest Beacon of Light he talks about what he calls a "Sexual Infusion", or an intensified sexual energy that is now coming to the planet. Yes, and as the sexual energy intensifies, all the old 'stuff' must come out and be acknowledged and cleared. We must own our role in it, whether as victims or as perpetrators, but we must see the drama and let it go. Maybe the 'mission' of the soul of the glamorous party girl called Paris Hilton is to help us to confront these energies within ourselves. For if we accept that all souls have work to do, and that everything unfolds for a reason and for the higher good, then we can begin to appreciate what these images are arousing on a deeper level within the Collective Consciousness."

And just to toss one more cosmic iron into our summer inferno, Mercury goes retrograde this Friday, June 15th, until July 9th (double-check communications and schedules, and try to postpone tasks such as auto repairs or buying a new computer. I'm having my Internet and phone installed Saturday, with layers of extra blessings!)

After that, it's on to Solstice, and a whole new set of fiery energies!

Instant Manifestation

No matter how long we think we've been living and teaching something, there are moments that bring it home with such blinding clarity all we can say is, "Wow. I finally GET it!" Today was such an opportunity for me.

On Wednesday, I invited a friend for dinner, planning to gift him with $50, as he'd mentioned being in a bit of a financial pinch right now. I've been there in spades, and I've also been blessed by the kindness of innumerable open-hearted souls on my journey. So I put a $50 bill in a Christmas envelope, wrote "Secret Santa" on it, and watched him try to refuse it. (Don't we all do this with unexpected monetary blessings that we desperately need but feel funny accepting?) On the outside of the envelope, I'd written, "Gift from the Angels," and I told him with conviction, "Spirit will give it back to me. Just say yes!" I wasn't expecting a cash equivalent; I was happy to be in a position in this moment where I could help someone who has helped me in many other ways in the past.

Today, two days later, I went to pick up my mail and there were two envelopes that appeared to be personal letters (a rarity in itself in the cyber age!) One contained a contribution for my planetary service for $25. The other, from a healer I've seen on and off for years, contained $50, also a contribution.

In the seven years I've had a love offering/donation blurb on my site and in my e-newsletter, I have only occasionally received a much-appreciated contribution, usually in the denomination of $5-10. Never two in one day, and never $75. I almost wept with understanding of precisely how spiritual law works; the message couldn't have been any clearer. You tithe from the heart, it returns in...well, hearts.

Thank you, Arte, for the co-creation, and all my angels and guides for the abundantly clear lesson in true abundance! I am brimming with gratitude today for getting on a cellular level how coming from Love is the only path now.

If you have similar stories, please share them!

Many blessings and prosperous joy to you,
Amara

Standing In the Fire

"Life is not tried/It is merely survived/If you're standing outside the fire." ~ Garth Brooks

Well, nobody's standing outside the fire right now: we're feeling the heat, as Mars, Jupiter and Saturn conjoin in what's known astrologically as a Grand Trine in Fire. It's an opportunity for a massive spiritual energy download, according to one of my favorite astrologers, Tara Greene. (Scroll to the June 4th entry for specifics). Of course, those leaders and others who choose a less awakened path may simply use this energy as one more excuse for explosive behavior...which is why the rest of us need to focus our positive intent intently now!

For a cross-reference, check out Kelley Hunter's excellent site as well. She takes a decidedly shamanic view in her transmissions, making them even more multidimensional. Here's an excerpt:

"Mars zodiacally aligns with Alpheratz, one of my favorite stars, marking one corner of the Great Square of Pegasus, the Flying Horse. Alpheratz is also the head of Andromeda, the Chained Lady. It is our task in this day and age to unchain Andromeda and let her ride that sky horse. This is a shamanic image of inner space travel, freeing the spirit and the imagination to soar into the heavens."

So feel and feed the inner fire, and prepare to join with your spiritual siblings around the globe as we Fire the Grid on July 17th!

How To Be A Practical Visionary

Buckminster Fuller once contemplated suicide. His daughter had died of polio, he was on the verge of bankruptcy, and life seemed bleak indeed.

Instead, he committed "egocide" and became a veritable force of nature, designing flying cars and floating cities, rethinking social policy, and asking penetrating questions about cosmology, technology, and humanity’s role in the Universe. He received 28 US patents, authored 27 books, hundreds of articles, and corresponded with people all over the world about his ideas.

Kind of inspiring, oui?

Yet he did it all without any of the "usual" trappings of power: he had no financial backing, no prominent corporate or political post. What he did have was an extraordinary mind, and the fearlessness to think so far beyond the box that he invented a whole new vocabulary. His leadership philosophy, as explained in an excellent article about his life on SpiritCrossing.org was simply this: “I always say to myself: What is the most important thing we can think about at this extraordinary moment?”

Here are the ten principles Bucky lived by (but to really understand and implement them in your life, read the entire article):

• Think Comprehensively
• Anticipate The Future
• Respect Gestation Rates
• Envision The Best Possible Future
• Be A Trimtab
• Take Individual Initiative
• Ask The Obvious And Naïve Questions
• Do More With Less
• Seek To Reform The Environment, Not Man
• Solve Problems Through Action.

Can You Feel the Fire?

The centerpiece of my June newsletter is an extraordinary new book called The Tent of Abraham, written by a trio of religious visionaries: Jew, a Christian, and a Muslim. A core aspect of the text is a greatly expanded version of what we might call, reading between the lines.

In the Jewish tradition, the spaces between the letters in the Torah (the Jewish equivalent of the Bible) are considered to be as full of meaning as the letters themselves: they are "white fire" that allows rabbis of every generation to interpret the mystical messages in the sacred teachings, or "black fire", beyond what is written down.

These commentaries on life, called midrash (literally, "searching"), allow the authors to ask searing questions for our time, that help us to deeply explore how we might come together in groundbreaking ways to heal our ancient wounds and create new models of community. Tears rolled down my cheeks during many of the chapters. Highly recommended!
